Our Mission
FaithCo, in collaboration with Iglesia Evangelistica in San Salvador, El Salvador, is committed to bringing the message of hope and salvation to the rural community of Paraiso, Jiquilisco, located in the southwest region near the coastal bay of Jiquilisco. Our mission encompasses both spiritual outreach and practical support, aiming to transform lives through faith, education, and community development.
The Beginnings of Our Outreach
Our journey in Paraiso, Jiquilisco, began as an evangelistic visit led by Rick and a group of men from the San Marcos church. They traveled to the home of relatives of church members with the hope of spreading the Gospel. During this initial visit, fourteen individuals responded to an altar call, marking the beginning of a small home meeting that continued for several months.
Challenges and Renewal
Despite the promising start, the outreach efforts began to falter for various reasons, and the initial momentum seemed to wane. The fruits of the original outreach were nearly lost. However, through prayer and seeking guidance, the Lord placed a new vision on the heart of Kim. It became clear that a more focused approach was needed to revive and sustain the mission.
Literacy Evangelism Team Ministry
Inspired by divine direction, Kim, with the support of FaithCo, developed the concept of a literacy evangelism team ministry, specifically aimed at the children in Paraiso, Jiquilisco. This innovative approach combines the teaching of basic literacy skills with the sharing of the Gospel, providing both educational and spiritual enrichment.
- Educational Programs: We established literacy classes that teach reading and writing to children who have limited access to formal education. These classes are designed to be engaging and fun, fostering a love for learning and personal growth.
- Spiritual Growth: Alongside literacy education, our team shares Bible stories and teachings, helping children understand the message of Christ. This dual approach nurtures their spiritual development while equipping them with essential life skills.
- Community Involvement: We engage with local families and community members to support and encourage the children’s education. By involving the community, we create a supportive environment that values both education and faith.

The literacy evangelism team ministry has brought new life to our mission in Paraiso, Jiquilisco. The children are not only learning to read and write but are also growing in their understanding of God’s love and teachings.
